Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour open to Spurs switch

The Monaco centre-back has been out-of-favour at Monaco and is being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer say reports. The Ligue 1 side have made the 25-year-old aware of the interest from Spurs says the player:

"Yes, I am aware of it (the interest). But I am at Monaco and I am concentrating on my club."

Asked about whether he would join Spurs, he revealed: "Why not? Right now I have to be patient.

"Things will happen naturally. I am not going to put any pressure on myself because I am very happy at Monaco."

Abdennour signed a four year contract with Monaco on the 4th July 2014 after he impressed on loan and has so far made 14 appearances. The defender is best known for his spell at Toulouse where he made 77 league appearances and scored 3 goals.

The report in the Mirror suggests £5m will be enough for Spurs to bring the player to White Hart lane in the summer.
