MK Dons to hand debuts to Harvey Barnes and Robbie Muirhead against Northampton

MK Dons are set to hand debuts to midfielder Harvey Barnes and striker Robbie Muirhead as they prepare to host Northampton.

Boss Robbie Neilson brought in Muirhead from former club Hearts while Barnes joined from Premier League champions Leicester on loan until the end of the season and both players should be available.

Defender Paul Downing could be set for a return from injury while forward Dean Bowditch continues his recovery from a calf injury.

The Dons will look to extend their recent unbeaten run to three games in Sky Bet League One.

Keshi Anderson is available to make his Northampton debut after signing on loan this week.

The 21-year-old forward joined the Cobblers from Crystal Palace for the rest of the season and is available for new manager Justin Edinburgh's first game in charge this weekend.

Defender Aaron Phillips (hamstring) is back in training but Saturday may come too early for him while a late decision will be made on winger Paul Anderson as he recovers from a gash to his leg.

Gabriel Zakuani is away on international duty with DR Congo and fellow defender Brendan Moloney remains sidelined with a knee injury.
