Callum Brittain's first senior goal rescues MK Dons point against Oxford

Academy graduate Callum Brittain's first senior goal saw MK Dons salvage a 1-1 League One draw against Oxford United at Stadium mk.

Rob Hall had netted early on for the visitors against his former club, but Brittain - who came on as a first-half substitute - smashed home on the hour to rescue a point for the Dons.

The visitors created their early opener after a couple of neat touches between Jack Payne and goalscorer Hall found the former Dons winger in space on the edge of the hosts' penalty box, before curling his shot into the far corner.

And despite being second best throughout the opening period, the Dons almost snatched a surprise leveller when Peter Pawlett's precise cross found Aaron Tshibola at the back post before his attempt flew inches wide.

And the hosts' equaliser came in superb fashion on the hour, as Brittain cut inside onto his left foot before finding the net with a powerful drive into the bottom corner to seal a point for Robbie Neilson's men.
