Manchester United will be back next season

There’s no doubt last season was a blip in the history of Manchester United, and things look to be turning around already without the season even beginning. This is the result of the appointment of one man – Louis Van Gaal. This world class manager is truly worthy of the job, and without officially working at the club yet he seems to have already made an impact.

He has been hailed as a tactical genius by many, and the recent unexpected run he has had coaching the Netherlands in the World cup is enough to give confidence to the United faithful who were left bemused after Moyes’ reign last season. He is a shrewd manager with an intense desire for success. The fear factor is back at the theatre of dreams and there is no doubt Man United will be in contention for the title next season.

The official signings of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, alongside the advanced talks with Thomas Vermaelen and the possible signing of Mats Hummels are real statements of intent from the red side of Manchester. Even the possible transfers of players who have shone at the World Cup like James Rodriguez, Alexis Sanchez and Artuto Vidal seem more realistic than the feeble attempts of signing Fabregas and Bale last season.

Van Gaal will join Man U on the United States tour immediately after his Netherlands side are eliminated from the World Cup and assess players he wants, and others he wants to leave. The season will kick off on 16th August against Swansea for the red devils, by then we will know more about Van Gaal as another great managerial personality becomes involved with the Premier League.
