Manchester United vs. QPR: How the Reds could line up

Club football is back after having a two weeks long break. We are into the Match day number 4 of Barclays’ premier league and Manchester United is yet to record a win this season.

Three days before the summer transfer window shut, Louis Van Gaal said – “We might have a different group after the transfer window shuts” and he actually has a different bunch of players to play with this weekend.

Good news for United fans is that all the six new signings will be available to be chosen in the squad. With the likes of Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Daley Blind, Van Gaal certainly have options to stuff the much debated weaker defensive options of the Manchester United squad.

Having Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo in the squad, according to me, now is the time for the former Oranje Coach to switch to 4 defenders. It will be interesting to see how Van Gaal deploys his forward line too with someone from Juan Mata, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney could be benched.

Bringing in Radamel Falcao on deadline day has certainly lifted up the hopes of Manchester United fans. A striker of Falcao’s quality can never be a burden on the team. Bringing him in the squad will also bring competition for Van Persie and Wayne Rooney. Juan Mata could also be forced to leave his favorite number 10 role if Louis Van Gaal puts Roney into that role with Falcao and Van Persie upfront.

It will be interesting to see how Van Gaal comes out with a formation which he thinks will get the first win for Manchester United in the Premier League.

In my views, Van Gaal will stick with his 3-4-1-2 formation and will put Van Persie and Falcao upfront with Rooney sitting behind both the strikers. Daley Blind will play the role of a defensive midfielder with Angel Di Maria playing as a Central Midfielder and Marcos Rojo could be given the responsibility for the left flank of the defense with Young charging as a left wing back. Herrera and Shaw coming out of an injury could be brought on in the second half of the game.

Here’s my predicted XI vs. QPR :-

De Gea, Jones, Evans, Marcos Rojo, Valencia, Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, Van Persie, Falcao.
