Wednesday's transfer round-up sees United once again linked with Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria (shock horror) and also Switzerland's impressive Ricardo Rodriguez, while the Red Devils reportedly TURNED DOWN Germany's midfield maestro Toni Kroos.

Spanish paper AS are reporting that United will look to bolster their flimsy wide options with the currently injured Di Maria, who has been in fine form for club and country. French giants Paris Saint Germain are also thought to be interested in the player, meaning the Reds could face a battle to bring the winger to Old Trafford. The former Premier League champions have recently been linked with Liverpool target Yehven Konoplyanka but recent reports have seen the Ukrainian touted for a move to West Ham.

United have also been linked with a move for Wolfsburg's left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, who impressed for Switzerland at this summers World Cup. The fact that United have been linked with another left-back also makes the possibility of veteran Patrice Evra leaving even more realistic, with the Frenchman being heavily linked with a move to Juventus today.

Toni Kroos, who has been linked with United after extensive scouting from former boss David Moyes was reportedly turned down by the Red Devils with the Manchester club favouring a move for Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera.
