Man City to sell Nasri to fund Isco swoop

Reports in the Express this morning reveal that Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bring his former Malaga charge to the Etihad in the summer, a move that could begin with the exit of Samir Nasri.

The 22-year-old Isco as become something of a fan favourite for Real Madrid so City can expect some reluctance to sell the creative midfielder from Real bosses. Carlo Ancelotti was jeered by fans at the weekend when he substituted the player forcing him to hit back in response:

"A coach is on the pitch and makes changes because he believes it's best for the team," Ancelotti said.

"If the fans don't understand it I am sorry but I made the decision and made the change to give the team more balance."

The report suggests that City will likely need to sell before they can buy and have identified Samir Nasri as a player whose future is in doubt with the suggestion that he will leave to join Juventus as a replacement to Paul Pogba should he leave the Turin club in the summer.

The Spanish player commonly known as Isco started his career as a reserve player for Valencia before moving to Malaga in 2011 where he was managed by Pellegrini. Since moving to Real Madrid in 2013 the player has made 90 appearances and scored 16 goals.

Isco joined the senior Spain setup in 2013 and has since earned 6 caps and scored 1 goal.
