Brendan Rodgers Liverpool are in the market for Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin, with Chelsea also reportedly showing an interest in the Englishman.

Rodgers is determined to give Liverpool more fire power up top after a season to forget for current Reds forwards Sturridge (4), Balotelli (1), Lambert (2) and Borini (1) who have scored just eight goals between them. Whereas 25-year-old Charlie Austin has netted nearly double that amount on his own, with an impressive 17 goals in the Premier League for relegation bound QPR.

The Metro report that the Hoops would be willing to entertain offers upwards of £10million for Austin, which could prove to be a bargain for a proven scorer in the English top flight.

As well as the mentioned £10million fee, Liverpool will have to offer the player an attractive enough package to fend off interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea, Newcastle and Southampton.
