Liverpool have today been linked with a move for Juventus and Spain striker Fernando Llorente, with the player reportedly keen on a move away from Turin.

Former Athletic Bilbao striker Llorente looks all but certain to leave Juventus this summer after the Champions League finalists signed Croatian Mario Mandzukic as well as Palermo starlet Paulo Dybala, leaving the 30-year-old way down the pecking order.

Spanish site Fichajes.net (translation required) claim that Liverpool would jump at the chance to bring Llorente to the Premier League and that the striker would also be interested in the proposed move.

Liverpool will be desperate to bring in a capable striker this summer with Daniel Sturridge set to miss the start of the season, leaving just Mario Balotelli, Ricki Lambert and Fabio Borini available to lead the line.

Llorente has scored over 100 league goals in his career and has 23 caps for the Spanish senior team, winning the World Cup with La Roja in 2010.
