Juventus confirmed the signing of striker Alessandro Matri on loan from Milan until the end of the season.
The Italian international was a key part of Antonio Conte's first two Scudetto titles. Matri scored 29 goals in 89 appearances between 2011 and 2013 in his first stint at Juventus.
He comes in as cover for Sebastian Giovinco, who was released from his contract earlier this week to join Toronto FC.
Matri has worked with Massimiliano Allegri at Cagliari and Milan before joining him at Juventus.
It was important for Allegri to add to his striking options, before the close of the January transfer window.
After leaving Juventus for a reported €11 Million, the Italian international scored only once in 18 appearances for Milan. Since then he has had loan spells at Fiorentina and Genoa.
Juventus are currently top of Serie A, leading Roma by seven points with the league leaders taking on Milan on Saturday.
