Reports are coming out that Juventus will have to sell to balance their books and that either Vidal or Pogba will be required to move on to ensure ‘self-financing’ is maintained.

Juventus Club President Andrea Agnelli who is a board member of FIAT and Exor is a shrewd businessman and will be looking to make Juventus’s rise back to European contention a sustainable one. The 38-year-old has a long time family association with the club through his father Umberto and has overseen the clubs transition to a new stadium, continued recession and the aftermath of the Calciopoli scandal.

The report in the Mirror will be music to Manchester United’s ears as they consider a move for their World Cup midfielder of choice. Arturo Vidal would cost United about £30m which is a figure that Juventus will find difficult to refuse says the report.

The French striker Paul Pogba has an asking price of £60m, an incredible figure considering Man United sold the player to Juventus for just 800k. United will get no bargains out of the deal but a 27-year-old player nicknamed “The Warrior” who would certainly fit the picture of the players so admired at Old Trafford.

Arturo Vidal was a key member of the Chile team and his box-to-box style won many admirers. It also seems that whoever updated his career on Wikipedia is either in the know or has a sense of humour…
