Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo is leaving Juventus to join Major League Soccer side New York City FC, the Turin club have announced.
The 36-year-old has long been linked with a move to the United States and it has now been confirmed that he will join David Villa and Frank Lampard in the Big Apple.
"Andrea Pirlo will continue his career in New York, after four years of triumphs with Juventus," the Italian champions announced on their website.
