Hull have announced striker Nikica Jelavic will be out for a "minimum six weeks" after surgery on his knee problem.
The Barclays Premier League strugglers had hoped to manage Jelavic's injury for the remainder of this season, but decided - after Saturday's 0-0 draw away to bottom-of-the-table Leicester - that would not be possible.
A statement on the club's website explained that, after arthroscopic surgery, Jelavic will now "undergo a period of rehabilitation".
