Jedinak accepts FA charge

Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has accepted the Football Association's charge of violent conduct for elbowing West Ham's Diafra Sakho, the club have announced.

Jedinak was handed a retrospective punishment by the FA on Monday after he struck Sakho in the face towards the end of Palace's 3-1 win at Upton Park on Saturday.

The punishment for violent conduct is a three-match ban but Jedinak's red card against Sunderland in November means his suspension could be lengthened to four.

A statement on Crystal Palace's official website read: "Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has accepted the violent conduct charge from the Football Association handed to him yesterday.

"The charge stems from an incident with West Ham United midfielder Diafra Sakho in the 87th minute of Palace's 3-1 win over the Hammers on Saturday.

"The club are now awaiting further details from the Football Association regarding the punishment."
