It's time... to get behind the Baggies!

West Bromwich Albion F.C, a founding member of the English football league, now a club that has sustained their place in the Barclays Premier League for a fifth consecutive season and despite a lot of well planned preparation for the new season there has been decent recently in fans faith towards the club and players. The 2014-15 season has beckoned a new era for the club after appointing a new head coach, new backroom staff, virtually a whole new squad, new sponsors and a complete new look kit.

Eyebrows were raised and mixed emotions filtered through the fans and spectators of the club.Albion so far have done good business and made some real changes that are good for the clubs future as a business, although all of this is good, however this is not the supporter’s highest priority…

Of course the fans of any club want to see their team on winning ways but at the start of the 2014-15 season West Brom have been struggling, currently sitting in the bottom half of the table with two draws, two loses and their recent win against Tottenham Hotspur means Alan Irvine (the new head coach) has still got a lot of work to do to win the fans over after his controversial appointment at the club.

Regardless of what playing or business situation a club is in, fans always stay by their club. But, recently the press and general public have seen a lot of negativity from the Baggies fans. For example, protesting outside the ground against the chairman and swamping social networking sites which are usually fan zone pages (pages where supporters put their opinion across) and it is right off them to do so however, the recent posts from supporters make you believe these are troll pages - something in which a viral supporter would use to say sarcastic comments about another club or post pictures and captions against their rivals.

This is not the act of a “faithful fan”, this is simply a situation where some fans are unhappy with the way the club is going at the moment and trying to drag everyone else down with them.

There is no doubt Albion have a quality squad and one that has a lot more internationally recognized players than in recent years. It is a good squad with a real experienced and adaptable coaching system so now it’s time!

Time for the fans of West Brom to come together and make themselves heard, silence the opposition fans at games and give every single player that comes out the Hawthorns dugout that pride and boost they need. Yes players have down moments and it takes time for them to adapt to a whole new club so let’s… as the proud supporters we are give the old players such as our captain Chris Brunt and the newbie’s such as Brown Ideye the excitement and support they need on the pitch.

This could be a very good season for the Baggies but we as a family need to come together as one and take the Barclays’ Premier League by storm.
