Cole Skuse set to continue for Ipswich

Ipswich midfielder Cole Skuse should retain his place against promotion-chasing Newcastle after returning to the side for the win at Burton following a spell out with concussion.

On-loan Leicester forward Tom Lawrence was back to lead the line after his groin problem, while Tommy Smith and Toumani Diagouraga had to be content with places on the bench.

Goalkeeper Dean Gerken was not among the substitutes, with Michael Crowe taking his place in the squad, so he will be assessed.

Danish defender Jonas Knudsen (shoulder) and centre-half Steven Taylor (hamstring) remain out, along with Adam Webster and midfielder Luke Hyam, who are both recovering from ankle problems.

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez may decide to rotate his squad for the trip.

Isaac Hayden started for the first time in three matches in Good Friday's 1-1 draw with Leeds after recovering from an ankle injury and could retain his place as long as he suffered no ill-effects from his 79-minute appearance.

Jack Colback replaced Hayden following a two-game absence of his own due to a virus and will be pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is likely to lead the line again as Dwight Gayle misses out with a hamstring injury while DeAndre Yedlin is also in contention after coming off the bench following six weeks out through injury.
