On-loan Jamie McCart 'enjoying every minute' at Inverness

Jamie McCart admits his loan move to Inverness has been everything he hoped for.

The 19-year-old Celtic player has impressed in the centre of Richie Foran's defence since moving at the end of January, and made his Scotland Under-21 debut in the goalless draw with Estonia in midweek.

Inverness are unbeaten in the five games McCart has played and he is enjoying every minute.

McCart said: "It's been brilliant. It's everything I wanted when I came here.

"I wanted to come, work hard and try to prove myself to try and get into the team.

"The gaffer has put me in the starting 11 since I've come here, and I'm very grateful to him and the coaching staff for continuing to put their faith in me.

"I just try to work hard and keep performing, and keep trying to improve with the platform they've given me."

McCart helped Inverness get off the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership before the international break and they are looking to build on that at home to Kilmarnock.

"We've lifted ourselves off the bottom of the table which was a massive boost for us, so we just need to keep going now," he said.

"Obviously every game is the biggest game for us right now, so we can keep climbing up the table."

Iain Vigurs faces six weeks on the sidelines with torn ankle ligaments, while Carl Tremarco (knee) is out for two to three weeks.

Jake Mulraney could return from a hamstring injury but Aaron Doran and Josh Meekings (both knee) remain absent. Lewis Horner (knee) and Ryan Esson (groin) are battling to come back from injuries.

Meanwhile, Gary Dicker has spoken about the relentless pressures on the workaday footballer.

The 30-year-old Dubliner was in the Killie team which escaped relegation last season when they won the two-legged play-off against Championship side Falkirk.

The Rugby Park club are sitting seventh in the table but are not yet safe.

He said: "It is an every day fight, whether you want to get in the team or stay in it, you are under pressure every day. It is part of the job.

"They (Inverness) are going to be under more pressure than us. We know what it is like to be there.

"I have played in a lot bigger games, play-offs, play-off semi-finals, bigger crowds, and a lot more money at stake.

"But if it (play-off) had gone against us it would not have been a nice thing for a lot of people.

"When you know you are affecting the whole club and the town. There is a lot of pressure and luckily we passed it."

Defender Luke Hendrie is suspended for the trip, while captain Steven Smith is doubtful with a calf problem and Greg Kiltie is still catching up on fitness after a long-term hamstring injury.
