Ings snubs Real Sociedad in favour of Summer move to Anfield

It has been reported in the Mirror that Burnley striker Danny Ings is set to reject a move abroad as his heart is set on a move to Anfield. The free-agent striker would cost Liverpool as little as £6m in compensation while a move to Spain would net Burnley a paltry £300,000.

The Burnley striker flew to Spain earlier this month to talk with the La Liga club now managed by David Moyes but the 22-year-old has decided not to play La Liga football and instead play for the Reds.

Danny Ings has been an important player for Burnley, scoring 9 goals and making 4 assists to give Burnley a chance to escape relegation back to the Championship.

The report states that Spurs, City and Chelsea have all registered an interest in the Burnley striker and as Ings is under 24 the Clarets would only be compensated by £300,000 if he left to play abroad whereas the club would stand to be compensated £6million with a move to Liverpool.
