Impressive start to the season for Hull new boy Andrew Robertson

It has been a mixed start to the season for Hull City, including two draws in their last two games. The club signed a few players in the summer, including youngster Andrew Robertson. The Wing-Back was maybe little known to fans of the Humberside club, but has the potential to be a real star at Hull. It may seem like a bold statement for a player who is only Twenty and has just signed from Dundee United. However, Robertson has the attributes and potential to impress.

Last season he won the Scottish Premiership Young Player of the Season - in his First season after playing amateur football. In a Dundee United team which had a number of youngsters. The media in Scotland and even fans of his side possibly overrated some of that group of Youngsters, but there was no doubting Robertson. He got a good move to Hull, a club which had impressed last campaign. A young player going to play in the pressures of the English Premier League was bound to have a mix of trepidation with excitement. The Scotsman probably didn't know if he would be guaranteed games this soon. However, his start has been a good one.

The best way to describe Robertson is a modern day Wing-Back. He has shown in his First games for the Black and Golds a great ability to get forward and provide some brilliant crosses. Indeed his fellow Wing-Back Ahmed Elmohamady on the other side of the pitch has a great engine to support attacks, so Hull have a great danger in that sense. Their is clearly work to be done and improvements for a Twenty year old, particularly the occasional Defensive Frailty. If he does start to reach his potential thought, he could be Scotland's National left back for years and a real key player for Hull City.
