'I'm all yours!' Valdes set to snub Liverpool and join United after turning down trial at Anfield

Victor Valdes is in talks with Manchester United over a free move to Old Trafford.

It is understood the former Barca shot stopper has turned down the chance to go on trial with Liverpool over a four day period, a decision Brendan Rodgers confirmed on Thursday.

Reports on Wednesday however suggested the 32 year old Spaniard would sign for the Merseyside club before the end of November, but LVG has swooped in and offered Valdes rehabilitation to work his way back to fitness.

Van Gaal has promised the three time champions league winner that the medical staff will supervise and support him through his recovery and then he will be able to train with the first team. It is still unclear if United officials will offer Valdes a contract as they would rather assess how well his recovery from ligament damage goes first.

LVG is looking for another goalkeeper to challenge David De Gea for the number one jersey at Old Trafford and Valdes certainly ticks the former Ajax manager’s box.
