Apparently, talks between the two clubs are ‘understood to have taken place’ according to the Mirror.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had unsuccessfully tried to sign the 24-year-old forward from Bayern Munich last summer, but he chose to move back to his former club instead.
However, after a lacklustre season at Dortmund he may well be available for a second transfer attempt this summer.
