Gillingham receive Deji Oshilaja fitness boost ahead of Port Vale visit

Gillingham expect to have defender Deji Oshilaja available for the visit of Port Vale.

The on-loan Cardiff man limped off during the second half of the 2-2 draw at Bradford - where he had scored - because of cramp, but has returned to training. Antigua & Barbuda forward Josh Parker may also feature having signed after a trial.

Winger Harry Cornick and striker Joe Quigley could be involved after the pair joined on loan from Bournemouth. However, defender Bondz N'Gala is not eligible to play for the Gills this season following his recent transfer having already featured for two other clubs.

Midfielder Lee Martin (ankle), defender Bradley Garmston (hamstring) and Aaron Morris (knee) all continue their recovery.

Port Vale winger Jerome Thomas could return after missing last week's defeat at Peterborough through illness.

Midielder Sam Foley is likely to continue after coming through his return from a four-month lay-off with an ankle injury unscathed.

Defender Nathan Smith is set to maintain his 100 per cent starting record after recovering sufficiently from a hamstring injury to play last weekend.

Veteran midfielder Danny Pugh could make his first start after appearing off the bench against Peterborough.
