George Glendon stays in Fleetwood squad after penning permanent deal

Fleetwood midfielder George Glendon will remain in the squad for the visit of Bristol Rovers after signing a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old's loan from Manchester City expired earlier in the week but the club have re-signed him on an 18-month contract with the option of a further year.

Glendon was one of the players whose general fitness levels boss Uwe Rosler was concerned about along with Kyle Dempsey and Devante Cole as all three were substituted in last weekend's goalless FA Cup draw with Bristol City, but they should keep their places.

Jimmy Ryan (foot), Martyn Woolford (knee), Ashley Eastham (jaw) and Michael Duckworth (groin) are all still missing.

Rovers' man-of-the-moment Ellis Harrison is set to keep his place in the Pirates' attack after his starring show last weekend.

The Wales Under-21 striker made only his second league start since November against Northampton, but his four-goal blast - including a seven-minute first-half hat-trick - should see him lead the line again alongside top scorer Matty Taylor.

Midfielder Stuart Sinclair may return after being rested last weekend, while teenage goalkeeper Kieron Hodges looks set for a place on the bench after Derby recalled Kelle Roos in midweek.

But defender Daniel Leadbitter could miss out again through injury.
