The opinions of fans split on why the team have ruled out from the World Cup much earlier than expected. Some say there was lack of luck, others would agree they were not good enough to earn a place among the best.

As well as in Spain squad, several new players earned a place for inbound friendlies and Euro qualifiers. Fabian Delph, Danny Rose and Nathaniel Clyne all got called up some time after the Mundial, not previously performing under Roy Hodgson. Returnees have, too, found themselves on the shortlist - Jonjo Shelvey and Kieran Gibbs were surely happy to be back at Wembley.

Predictions is what football fans enjoy making. We've witnessed some pretty incorrent guessing, like the World Cup 2014 starting XI prediction from 'Mail Online' in 2007. The list was based only on wonderkids of most who nowadays play in the Championship or lower tiers. Michael Johnson, who was listed, doesn't even play professional anymore. Ultimately, only Theo Walcott made the list for Brazil seven years later.

This 23-man list is mostly based on young talents and current first-team members. How will it turn out and what would you change? Have your say.
