Rangers romp to victory

Berwick administered a 4-0 thrashing on East Stirling to move above them in the League Two table.

Andrew Russell's fifth-minute opener was added to by second-half strikes from Kyle Wilkie, Blair Henderson and Lee Currie as the Borderers climbed to seventh in the standings.

The home side were facing an uphill battle from the start as Russell rolled in the opener having collected Henderson's through ball.

Kevin Nisbet almost claimed an equaliser before the break but his effort cannoned back off the woodwork, while David Gold also struck a post at the other end.

Wilkie doubled the lead early in the second period after rifling home a half volley and moments later Henderson added a third after Currie's long-range effort was spilled into his path.

Currie got in on the act himself with an outside-of-the-foot finish seven minutes from time before Conor Greene was dismissed for the hosts because of a rash lunge which injured Ross Gray.
