Back-to-back wins for Annan

Annan registered a second-successive win - 1-0 at East Stirling - to move into mid-table.

The winning goal came midway through the second half courtesy of a free-kick, conceded by Connor Greene when he fouled lively forward David Hopkirk just outside the penalty area.

Jordan Brown drove the dead ball into the bottom-right corner past Richie Barnard to well and truly put an end to Annan's poor start to the season. The goalscorer had only been called on to the field due to an unexpected injury to Kenneth Mackay in the 15th minute.

Revived by their first win against Berwick last week, the Black and Golds preserved their lead with confidence, and Hopkirk and Robin Omar could have added a second towards the end.
