Fife duo sit out

East Fife will be without injured midfielder Alan Cook and long-term absentee Cyrus Moosavi when they face managerless Elgin City.

Cook has an ankle problem and Moosavi recently underwent knee surgery again.

Player/manager Gary Naysmith is looking for his men to build on their draw with Albion Rovers and win over Berwick when they face the bottom side.

Naysmith said: "If we show the spirit, determination and good level of play that we have shown recently then this is a game that we can win.

"Our objective has to be three points and the chance to solidify ourselves in the play-off zone."

Player/assistant-manager Graham Bayne is temporary charge of Elgin following manager Barry Wilson's resignation earlier this week.

He will be without Ali Mackenzie, who has a knee problem, while Darryl McHardy is an injury doubt.

Bayne said: "It has obviously been a difficult week but we will go to East Fife and look to have a go at them. We lost 4-1 to Queen's Park last weekend but we played really for most of the first half until we went behind to a deflected goal.

"If we can play like that and have a better slice of luck then we may well be able to get a win."
