Pars hopes go South
Queen of the South recorded an emphatic 3-0 victory over Dumbarton to claim their first win in three.
Only goal difference separated the sides fourth and fifth in the table ahead of kick-off but they were level for just 17 minutes until Iain Russell headed into the bottom corner.
The home side's hopes of a third straight win were dashed when Derek Lyle's left-footed finish put Queen of the South 2-0 up in the 52nd minute.
And they put the game to bed when Kevin Holt found the top corner 15 minutes later to complete a successful afternoon for Allan Johnston's men.
