Five in a row for Falkirk

In-form Falkirk made it five wins in a row by defeating Dumbarton 3-0.

Rory Loy's 11th-minute opener was added to by quick goals from Blair Alston and Craig Sibbald in the second period to increase the gap between the fifth-placed Bairns and the Sons to seven points.

Loy struck early on by fending off a defender before rifling beyond Danny Rogers in the Dumbarton goal.

Mitchel Megginson then cleared a Will Vaulks effort off the line as Falkirk sensed blood, with Vaulks and Alston both going close before the interval too.

Dumbarton almost levelled when Scott Agnew saw a try booted off the line by Luke Leahy but the visitors added a second goal with 10 minutes to play.

Loy fed Alston to double Falkirk's advantage and they scored a third quickly afterwards as Sibbald finished off a fine team move.
