Rovers monitoring duo

Doncaster will check on Richie Wellens and Lucas Neill but James Husband will definitely be absent for Rovers when Derby visit the Keepmoat Stadium.

Husband came off late on in the defeat to Ipswich last weekend with a hamstring injury and will miss the Easter fixtures against the Rams on Friday night and Millwall on Monday. It is hoped the full-back will be back in contention when Paul Dickov's side host Reading on April 26.

Captain Wellens (foot) and defender Neill (hamstring) both missed the trip to Portman Road and are rated at 50/50 to be involved against Derby.

Centre-half Gabriel Tamas is thought to be fit and available despite suffering a shin injury at Ipswich after being on the receiving end of a late challenge from Luke Hyam, which Dickov felt was worthy of a red card.

Derby could have Simon Dawkins back in contention.

Dawkins has missed the last six matches with a groin injury but the attacking midfielder resumed full training this week and is pushing for a place in the matchday squad.

Fellow forward Jamie Ward returned from a four-game absence with a hamstring problem against Huddersfield last weekend and he will be hoping his substitute appearance has put him in the frame for a starting place at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night.

Victory for Derby would assure them of a Sky Bet Championship play-off spot but the Rams still harbour faint hopes of chasing down Burnley for that second automatic promotion place.
