City to make bid for Dortmund ace Reus this summer as Bayern and Arsenal also consider moves

Premier League Champions Manchester City are monitoring the situation at Borussia Dortmund about the availability of their German starlet Marco Reus.

The Citizens however may be dragged into a transfer war with Bayern Munich as Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is keen to add another Dortmund superstar to his ranks after the transfers of Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski last season and this season respectively.

Furthermore, Gotze openly admitted last week he would like his former team mate to join him at the Allianz arena and that it would make him “really happy”.

It is understood that the 25-year old has a release clause of £20 million pounds, and it is a fee that won’t put off the English and German champions for Reus’ signature.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have asked for updates on Reus’ situation but the latter two are unlikely to place a bid as their priorities lie elsewhere.
