Christian Benteke makes shortlist for the April PFA Fans' Player of the Month Award

Aston Villa's Christian Benteke has been been nominated for the April PFA Fans' Player of the Month Award.

Fans can vote for their favourite player to win by going to the following link http://fanawards.90min.com/.

The PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award which is powered by 90min is designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

Each month, one lucky fan will meet and present the award to the player on the side of the pitch before the game.

Voting closes at midnight on Thursday 30th April with the winner to be announced on Friday 1st May.

The Aston Villa striker has been in sensational form since returning from injury and has scored five goals in April helping Aston Villa collect four points from the three games they have played. Benteke was on the scoresheet in Aston Villa’s 3-1 defeat against Manchester United.

The Belgium striker then followed this up with a hat trick in the 3-3 draw home draw against Aston Villa. Benteke rescuing a point for Villa in the closing minutes.

Villa saved their best performance of the month to date by beating manager Tim Sherwood’s former club Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane with Benteke scoring the first half winner in a 1-0 victory.

Aston Villa are currently 15th in the Premier League table four points above the relegation zone. Villa travel to play champions Manchester City this weekend at the Etihad.
