Chesterfield likely to have unchanged squad for visit of Rochdale

Chesterfield boss Gary Caldwell will likely have an unchanged squad for the visit of Rochdale.

Ched Evans is being assessed but the striker is doubtful to return to contention following further injections to help ease his ankle issue.

Ian Evatt's knee injury does not appear as bad as initially feared but the centre-half will remain on the sidelines for the foreseeable future as the Spireites battle to stay in League One.

The likes of Dan Gardner, Angel Martinez, Reece Mitchell, David Faupala, Connor Dimaio and Liam Grimshaw are options for Caldwell should he wish to change anything.

Rochdale again have Matthew Lund unavailable as he is away on international duty with Northern Ireland.

The midfielder missed Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Millwall, along with several other Dale players who remain sidelined.

They include Steven Davies (calf), Reuben Noble-Lazarus (ankle), Keith Keane (calf) and Josh Lillis (knee).

Keith Hill's men are looking for another positive result after the Millwall draw came three days on from a 4-1 victory over Gillingham, their first league victory since January 2.
