Margreitter set to return

Georg Margreitter may return to the Chesterfield squad for the visit of Barnsley.

A hamstring injury has kept Margreitter out recently and it was thought the on-loan Wolves defender would not be available again until early December. However, the Austrian may struggle to displace Charlie Raglan in the starting line-up after the inexperienced former FC United youngster and captain Ian Evatt kept successive clean sheets as a central-defensive partnership.

Striker Armand Gnanduillet is expected to be back in the Spireites squad, having been recalled from his loan at Tranmere, but midfielder Sam Morsy will serve a one-match suspension after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in the goalless draw at Crewe last weekend.

Long-term absentees Sam Hird (knee) and Drew Talbot (groin) are both set to step up their training in the next week or so.

Barnsley trio Ryan Williams, Marcello Trotta and Paul Digby will all return to contention after missing last Friday's win against Colchester as they were on international duty.

Boss Danny Wilson must decide whether to recall on-loan Fulham pair Williams and Trotta to his starting line-up, while midfielder Digby will be hoping to be included in the squad.

Wilson has no new injury or suspension problems, while teenage defender James Bree and winger Dale Jennings are both pushing for recalls.

Barnsley are unbeaten in four games in all competitions and are bidding for their third straight league win.
