Daniel O'Shaughnessy remains on sidelines for Cheltenham

Daniel O'Shaughnessy remains Cheltenham's only absentee for the crucial Sky Bet League Two encounter with Hartlepool.

The defender has been nursing a foot problem since being replaced at half-time against Exeter a fortnight ago.

Stand-in boss Russell Milton has no other fresh concerns for a game which will see the Robins secure their Football League status if they avoid defeat.

"It's a culmination of a season that's not been the best and it's a chance to put a positive end to a difficult season," Milton told the club's official website.

Interim Hartlepool player-manager Matthew Bates has a series of selection decisions to make after being asked to replace the departed Dave Jones for the final two games of the campaign.

Keeper Trevor Carson, who was expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery, returned to the bench well ahead of schedule for last weekend's 2-0 home defeat by Barnet and could get the nod.

Liam Donnelly completes the two-match ban he incurred for his red card at Orient, while fellow defender Kenton Richardson is a doubt with an ankle injury.

Pool slipped into the bottom two as a result of last weekend's loss and head for Whaddon Road sitting two points shy of safety with just six left to play for.
