Cheltenham begin life after Buckle

Cheltenham go into their clash against Bury without a manager after Paul Buckle's departure on Friday.

Buckle left Whaddon Road after just one win in 13 games, leaving the Robins a point above the relegation zone, and Russell Milton will take charge against the Shakers.

Milton will be unable to pick winger Jake Gray who returned to parent club Crystal Palace after the final whistle of Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Southend, bringing to an end his one-month stay with the Robins.

Zach Kotwica, Joe Hanks and Mathieu Manset are all likely to come into Milton's thinking as he looks to reverse a slide which has seen Town fail to keep a clean sheet for 25 games.

Adam El-Abd will again be missing for Bury.

The defender came off against Exeter earlier this month and missed the midweek trip to Stevenage as a result. Although his hamstring tweak is not considered serious, manager David Flitcroft conceded he will be out for a week to 10 days.

Daniel Nardiello, who has been troubled by a groin problem throughout the season, started on the bench at Boro for fear of triggering his old injury issues and may now be recalled into the XI.

Fellow forward Ryan Lowe is still considered three weeks away with his hamstring issue, but defender Pablo Mills (groin) was set to return to training this week.
