Barcelona and Manchester City may have been considered as the two front-runners for the Frenchman’s signature yet according to reports by the Metro, Chelsea have actively joined the race for the French starlet.
Representatives from Chelsea are said to have met with Mino Raiola to discuss possible terms for a move away from Turin. It is thought Pogba is quite keen on a move away from Juventus as he seeks to make a name elsewhere. Most pundits and football fans expect this to be the biggest deal of the Transfer Window though it is still to the point uncertain where Pogba would prefer to be playing.
Barcelona is a worthwhile option for most players but the competition for positions may dissuade the young talent from going there. Manchester City are sure to offer a huge personal contract with a fair chance to win something but even there Pogba would not be guaranteed a place.
Joining Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea would ensure that Pogba has some success to his name and yet there to be no position for him as those who played there last season were quite impressive and seemed to almost always be in the Special One’s favour. Indeed Chelsea may not be primarily looking to bolster their midfield but a star-studded squad is not unheard of and the addition of this talent would help in competing for all trophies next season.
Money is certainly not the problem as we await news from negotiations between Juventus and Chelsea.
