Chelsea And Manchester United Target, House-Hunting In London

Arda Turan has been linked with a move to England for several Transfer Windows and it looks like that move is set to happen in this window. According to the Metro, the La Liga ace was in London to purchase a house probably for next season.

This report comes after he handed in a transfer request at Atletico with a decision expected by Friday. It is understood that Diego Simeone would rather keep the midfielder but whilst his £29 million clause is steep it is still unlikely to be enough to deter the likes of Manchester United or Chelsea should they be seriously interested. The 28-year-old Turkish international is known for his close ball control and dribbling skills and would understandably prefer a move which allowed him to focus more on those strengths.

It would appear that if the reports are accurate that Turan is Chelsea bound as he was looking for a house in London but Jose Mourinho’s side is not exactly light in the midfield department at the moment so it's difficult to see how he would fit into Mourniho's thinking. Whilst it would seem that this has sparked fresh rumours that it may actually be Arsenal looking to further bolster their squad ahead of the new season a midfielder in the Turan mould does not fit what Wenger has been looking for previously.

It remains to be seen what actually happens but the signs are intriguing.
