Jorge Teixeira could return for Charlton

Jorge Teixeira could be in contention to start for Charlton as boss Karl Robinson bids to end a run of three straight Sky Bet League One defeats against Southend.

Jason Pearce and Chris Solly both returned to the Addicks' line-up for the 2-0 home loss to MK Dons in midweek after injury so could be rotated as Robinson seeks a return to form.

Wigan loanee Nathan Byrne may slot in from the start out wide, with Jordan Botaka also in the selection mix.

Ezri Konsa, Lewis Page, Roger Johnson, Harry Lennon and Ahmed Kashi are all likely to miss out through injury.

Play-off chasing Southend will again be without midfielder Ryan Leonard, who is serving a three-match ban.

Defender Anton Ferdinand should be available after missing last weekend's home defeat to Bolton with a calf problem, but centre-back Ryan Inniss has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after dislocating his shoulder.

Left-back Ben Coker is expected to recover from a knee injury ahead of the run-in, while veteran forward David Mooney is closing in on a first-team return following his ankle problem.

On-loan Brighton goalkeeper Christian Walton looks set for another start as both Mark Oxley (elbow) and fellow stopper Ted Smith (wrist) continue their rehabilitation.
