Matty Taylor and David Cotterill set for Bristol City bows

Bristol City new signings Matty Taylor and David Cotterill are available for the Sky Bet Championship home game with Rotherham.

Taylor, who became the first player to leave Bristol Rovers and move across the city since 1987, could form a mouth-watering strike partnership alongside Tammy Abraham with both strikers having scored 19 goals this season.

Defender Joe Bryan is expected to play despite concerns over an on-going ankle problem.

Adam Matthews (calf and hamstring) and Korey Smith (hamstring) have returned to training but will not feature.

Rotherham's new signing Ben Purrington could make his first appearance for the club after joining from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee.

Another new arrival, on-loan Norwich striker Carlton Morris, is nursing a hamstring injury and is not expected to feature.

Tom Adeyemi will be assessed after being forced out of the midweek defeat at Nottingham Forest through illness, but fellow midfielder Joe Newell (groin) returned to action off the bench and is available.

Lee Frecklington (ankle) has targeted his return against Blackburn next week, while Darnell Fisher, Aimen Belaid, Dexter Blackstock (all hamstring), Kirk Broadfoot (back), Lee Camp and Jonson Clarke-Harris (both knee) all remain sidelined.
