Gary O'Neil remains sidelined as Bristol City host QPR

Bristol City are set to be without midfielder Gary O'Neil long term as they try to secure Sky Bet Championship safety.

The experienced O'Neil is on the sidelines with the leg injury he suffered at Brentford.

The Robins, who bounced back from their midweek hammering at Preston to move four points clear of the drop zone with a win at home to Wolves, may be able to welcome striker Milan Djuric back from injury against QPR.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina forward was not ready for the subs' bench last weekend but may soon be back in the reckoning.

QPR boss Ian Holloway was reluctant to give away too much information about his plans, but midfielder Jordan Cousins is out for the remainder of the season with a quad injury.

On a more positive note, defender Jack Robinson has shown no ill effects following his return to action against Brighton last week.

Robinson had not featured since the start of December due to ankle and knee problems, but came through unscathed after playing 66 minutes of the 2-1 home defeat.

On-loan midfielder Kazenga Lua Lua is continuing his rehabilitation on an ankle injury suffered in training last month.
