Brentford to check on ankle injury to Sergi Canos

Brentford will check on Spanish winger Sergi Canos' ankle injury ahead of the visit of Nottingham Forest.

Dan Bentley, John Egan, Josh McEachran, Ryan Woods, Lasse Vibe and Jota were among 10 players rested against AFC Wimbledon in the Caraboa Cup in midweek and should return.

Defender Harlee Dean is set to keep his place from that side, however, having missed the opening day defeat at Sheffield United through suspension.

Alan Judge is still battling back from a broken leg and fellow midfielder Lewis Macleod is due in full training in September after a knee operation.

Forest manager Mark Warburton expects to ring the changes as he returns to his former club.

The former Bees boss will rotate his squad following the 2-1 League Cup win over Shrewsbury on Tuesday.

Striker Jason Cummings could start after he scored the winning goal against the Shrews and Warburton has options at right back with Tendayi Darikwa and Eric Lichaj both in contention.

Midfielder Matty Cash is recovering from ankle surgery and striker Jamie Ward is also ruled out due to a calf problem.
