Highly-rated Brazilian attacking midfielder Douglas Costa has sparked rumours that he's set to sign for Premier League champions Chelsea after talking of 'change' and praising Blues boss Jose Mourinho as 'the best in the world' during an interview with German paper BILD.

‘Eventually the time comes when you get tired of playing always in the same league,’ he said.

‘I’m 24 years old and it is worth trying to tell people that I want to go.’

‘We have a wonderful coach in Mircea Lucescu, but I think it’s time for a change and I think Mourinho is the best in the world.’

Chelsea have previously been linked with the 24-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk forward and came close to signing the player in January before deciding to sign Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado.

Costa is rated at around £20million and could well have a place in Chelsea's title winning squad with speculation over compatriot Oscar's Stamford Bridge future, having been heavily linked with a move to Champions League finalists Juventus.
