Blackpool's Jim McAlister unavailable after suffering fractured tibia

Blackpool will be without Jim McAlister for Tuesday's Sky Bet League Two home clash with Crawley after the midfielder suffered a fractured tibia at the weekend.

Having sustained the injury late on in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Colchester, McAlister was rushed to hospital for scans.

Blackpool on Sunday revealed he does not require surgery at this stage and said a full timescale on his recovery will be announced in due course.

Defender Kelvin Mellor is available again having completed his suspension, while it remains to be seen whether forward Kyle Vassell is ready to make his return after three games out due to a hamstring problem.

Crawley must again do without suspended Lewis Young, who serves out a two-game ban after picking up a 10th yellow card of the season in the defeat at Notts County last month.

Former Northampton defender Josh Lelan, who signed at the end of the January transfer window, could retain his place.

Forward Rhys Murphy, a recent arrival from Vanarama National League side Forest Green, came off the bench in Saturday's home defeat by Stevenage and is pressing for a place in the starting XI.

Striker Matt Harrold (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee.
