Jamille Matt to miss out for Blackpool

Blackpool will be without Jamille Matt when they take on Cheltenham after the striker injured himself in the 1-0 win at Doncaster on Monday.

Matt suffered a hamstring injury shortly after coming on as a second-half substitute, but with all three replacements used he stayed on the pitch and made a significant contribution as the Seasiders snatched a late winner.

It came at a cost, however, and boss Gary Bowyer expects Matt to miss the rest of the season.

Jack Payne suffered a back injury in the same match but is expected to return.

Cheltenham have no fresh injury concerns for the trip following Monday's 2-1 win against Grimsby which eased their relegation fears.

Full-back Jordan Cranston returned from suspension against the Mariners and is expected to keep his place, but fellow defender Daniel O'Shaughnessy continues to nurse a foot problem.

Stand-in boss Russell Milton told the club's YouTube channel: "I think everyone is okay. I don't think there are any major worries from last time."

The Robins are five points and 10 goals better off than second-bottom Newport, and Milton added: "It's our aim to get it (survival) done at the weekend and then we can relax for two games, but we'll take it as it comes."
