Rovers to check on Kilgallon

Blackburn will check on Matt Kilgallon ahead of the home game against Bournemouth.

The defender missed Sunday's 2-1 derby defeat by Burnley with a groin injury and will be handed a fitness test on Wednesday morning.

Tom Cairney is still out with an ankle injury while fellow midfielder David Dunn, who was struggling with cramp against the Clarets, may not be able to play two games in four days.

Josh King (hamstring), Ben Marshall and Dickson Etuhu (both ankle) remain on the sidelines.

Bournemouth will assess the fitness of Harry Arter and Yann Kermorgant ahead of the trip.

Arter felt discomfort in his calf during Friday's training session and sat out the 1-0 win over Blackpool along with Kermorgant who had been suffering with a heel injury which denied him the chance to build on his memorable hat-trick against Doncaster.

Eunan O'Kane and Brett Pitman deputised at the weekend and could keep their places if the injured pair fail to make it.

Defenders Elliott Ward and Charlie Daniels will miss out once more as Eddie Howe's men look to build on their first away win of 2014 with another successful journey.
