Banjo bags Berwick winner

David Banjo scored an extra-time winner as Berwick came from two goals down to beat Alloa 3-2 in the first round of the Scottish League Cup.

Alloa midfielder Iain Flannigan handed the visitors a two-goal advantage after opening the scoring in the sixth minute and adding a second in the 21st - both fine finishes into the bottom corner.

However, Berwick hit back through Darren Lavery's 56th-minute effort into the top corner before substitute David Morris headed the equaliser 13 minutes from time, shortly after being introduced from the bench.

With the score locked at 2-2, the match went into extra-time, where Banjo headed the hosts into the lead for the first time in the game in the 97th minute and they held on to advance.
