The Colombian Jackson Martinez who is currently on international duty and is expected to make a decision on his future soon with long-term admirers Arsenal and AC Milan both linked with the striker.

It seemed for a while in fact that interest had cooled from Arsenal with AC Milan looking more advanced but a report in the Express suggests the Italians have focussed their attention on PSG striker Edinson Cavani.

When asked about the interest in him from Arsenal the player responded: "It's a big club in one of the best leagues in the world. We have to see if an offer will become a reality or not. "The day we'll know where my future goes is near. I still haven't decided, as I'm focused on the Copa America right now."

The player has a £25million release clause and his statement hints that Arsenal are yet to commit to a formal bid. Martinez has been a formidable presence in Portugal since joining Porto in 2012 from Mexican Liga MX outfit Chiapas for US $11million. The 28-year-old has made 132 appearances for Porto in all competitions, scoring 92 goals with 32 of those coming last season from 41 appearances. Unsurprisingly Martinez has finished each of his three season as Primeira Liga top scorer.

Martinez can finish with both feet and is considered a pure centre forward with his 6ft 1” frame making him a threat from a variety of deliveries. He has played for his national side since his first cap in 2009 and has so far scored 10 international goals for Colombia.
