Sean Dyche takes his 200th game in charge of Burnley Football Club in the live SKY encounter at the Emirates on Sunday. The Clarets' gaffer will no doubt be looking for a landmark performance from his fast improving side.
Burnley have recorded three wins out of their last four games, a sequence putting the Clarets ten points clear of the dreaded Premier League drop zone and placed then in tenth position, in what is probably the most demanding in global football.
Burnley's Republic of Ireland international midfielder Jeff Hendrick speaking ahead of the game said, “We have nothing to lose. All the pressure is on them" (Arsenal).
In a game where Wenger's title chasing team are odd-on favourites, Burnley can go into the game with nothing to lose, a point Hendrick further alluded to, “That’s the good thing for us. We can go into the game fearless. In the last month or so the performances have been getting better and better".
Burnley have so far amassed twenty six points with only one of them earned on the road, the rest have been harvested at Turf Moor. Hendrick knows the difference a few points picked up away from home would make.
It is likely Burnley will have available Icelandic international Johann Berg Gudmundsson to help the Clarets' cause along with veteran midfielder Dean Marney.
Both are off the Turf Moor treatment table and add to Sean Dyche's selection options but it is likely the impressive Joey Barton will feature in the starting line up.
Sam Vokes usually provides the Gunners with a severe aerial challenge which should see him get the nod over fellow striker Ashley Barnes.
I expect the Clarets to play in a 4-4-2 formation:
Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Barton, Defour, Hendrick, Boyd, Vokes Gray. (TEC).
