Duo out for Athletic

Annan host League Two leaders Arbroath with Matty Flynn and Kenny Mackay.

Flynn is again missing following jaw surgery while Mackay remains out with a knee problem.

Derek Carcary is a doubt, with manager Jim Chapman looking for a 90-minute performance from his men.

He said: "At East Fife on Saturday we were disappointing in the first half but much better in the second. We were a goal down at the break but turned things around and were unlucky not to leave with all three points.

"If we are to do anything against a good Arbroath side then we need to play at our best for the entire game."

Arbroath have a doubt over Adam Hunter as they look to end the first quarter of nine games with eight wins.

Craig Johnstone remains out with an ankle injury, with Jack Smith also missing due to an elbow problem, and the Red Lichties have been asked to keep their standards high.

Assistant manager Todd Lumsden said: "We won 4-0 at home to East Stirling at the weekend and that was a good result, however there were patches in that game where we were slack.

"Annan had a good result at East Fife on Saturday and if we drop out of things at any time at Galabank we could play a heavy price."
